Strawberry Shortcake Baby Blanket

When my niece announced she was having a baby, I was so excited. Instantly I new I would create something for her. When she told me she was having a little girl, I thought of Strawberry Shortcake.
I found this gorgeous pattern at Michael's Craft store, purchased the yarn and went to work.
It was exhausting, but I finally got it done and here it is presented at my niece's baby shower.
Little Bella is 3 years old now and still loves her Strawberry Shortcake blanket.
Strawberry Shortcake is x-stitched on top of Tunisian stitching on the blanket. The Tunisian stitch provides a firm surface for placing x-stitching.
